Technical Account Manager

The Opportunity

Due to recent retirements and internal promotions, we are searching for an Technical Account Manager to join our sales team at Walsh’s Glass. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role is more than just sales;

  • You'll become the expert in glass through our internal expertise and engaging with suppliers and industry experts.
  • You have the opportunity to use your knowledge to guide our new and existing customers on the best product for their build, educate the team and customers on the
  • future of performance glass and contribute with purpose to the sustainability of our environment
  • You will develop and review pricing models for the team; a dynamic modelling system that is built in partnership with the Sales Manager, Finance and Operations.

We have invested in new software and technology across the business, this role will maintain customer pricing in our CRM and ensure the integrity of the system through user training, setting best standards and enabling accurate reporting for both customer relationship development and measuring sales targets.

Other Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Regular travel to clients around the Metro and North to North East areas of WA.
  • Develop and strengthen customer networks with thoughtful planning and regular client visits.
  • Achieve sales targets through positive, long-term relationships and a commitment to client needs.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by addressing any issues opportunities and maintaining open, transparent communication.
  • Share valuable insights from customer feedback, sales analysis, and call reports to support team decisions.

About You

Due to the technical requirements of the role, we are looking for someone with either glass or construction industry experience, with mechanical aptitude to support their learning.

  • B2B sales experience is preferred.
  • The ability to work autonomous but work collaboratively with others to achieve a shared goal.
  • Driven to achieve targets; in a competitive industry we're looking for people with persistence, focus and a healthy, (self) competitive spirit.
  • A methodical, detail-oriented approach. Detail is critical- mistakes result in the wrong product being supplied. 
  • Strong communication and relationship skills; able to adapt to each customer and connect to their needs.
  • Experience using CRM software and developing reports
