The Opportunity

We are looking for skilled, experienced operators in the following areas of production:

  • Laminate Glass Cutter
  • Float Glass Cutter
  • Lead Furnace Operator

You will be someone who can push production to its limits while keeping quality at a high standard. You will have the enthusiasm for the craft that will motivate those around you to learn and master the same skills through your teachings; encouraging new generations of skilled Glaziers.

The Role

  • Produce quality flat glass products to specification.
  • Ensure glass thickness and type are correct.
  • Ensure glass adheres to quality standards and free from faults prior to processing.
  • Cut glass using machines or hand cutting (where required), along patterns, templates and in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Measure and mark glass prior to processing, and final measures before stacking ready for next process.
  • Smooth edges using hand and belt wipe where required.
  • Operating various production machinery to cut, treat and smooth glass, such as toughening, cutting and buffing
  • Maintain an organised, clean and safe working environment
