About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Gantry Operator for a full-time day shift role in our factory. Working with our Logistics and Glass Processing teams, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and storage of glass and materials across site.

Your duties will include operating gantry cranes to unload deliveries, load outbound trucks, and shipping containers, assist drivers with safe load placement and restraint, and support dispatch and general stores operations as required.

You must have proven gantry experience, a strong understanding of safe lifting practices, load stability and weight distribution, and the ability to carry out equipment checks while maintaining high safety standards in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Our day shift hours are Monday to Thursday 6am-2.30pm and Friday 6am - 12pm.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Safe manual handling and loading/unloading of glass product within despatch areas
  • Operate overhead gantry cranes, up to SWL 3.5T and using various lifting attachments as required
  • Move and handle large, heavy glass materials with care
  • Help with general warehouse tasks when needed
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe
  • Support the production and dispatch teams to ensure orders are completed on time
  • Keep track of stock and make sure the factory always has the materials it needs

  • Experienced Gantry Operator, skilled in safely handling and moving glass and materials
  • Ability to follow set procedures
  • Ability to work within a team

You will be working in an environment where safety comes first. Glass is fragile and we ensure all our employees are well trained in all aspects of glass handling. You therefore must;
