Apprentice Glass Processor - January Start!

Walshs Glass is proud to be the leader in glass processing, servicing the WA building and construction industry for over 50 years. As an independent family-owned business, our experience and scale underpin our reputation as the experts in glass.

Focused on delivering customer excellence every day, we produce and deliver high-quality glass products combined with flexible and reliable service. We pride ourselves on maintaining strong, lasting relationships with our customers - from small independent glazing businesses to Tier 1 commercial builders.

The role

We have an opportunity for an apprentice to learn the craft of glass processing and attain a Certificate III in Glass Processing, beginning in January.

Shift hours: Mon to Thu 6am-230pm, Fridays 6am-12pm

Throughout your 3 year training program, you will learn through our senior operators and leaders in the factory, with guidance and assessment via our Registered Training Provider.

You will gain hands-on experience operating the latest and most advanced machinery in glass processing. From precision cutting and laminating to CNC operation, Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) manufacturing and glass toughening. This is your chance to master every step of the production process and build a high-demand trade career with cutting-edge technology at your fingertips.

You will also learn how to operate a Gantry crane, obtain a forklift licence and a first aid certificate.

At the end of the apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to specialise in the factory, take a leadership role, move into other aspects of the business or take hold of learning opportunities in the growing technology of glass manufacturing.

This is a physical role where you gain instant satisfaction in seeing your product made and installed in someone’s home or commercial building.
